Timpte is looking for a Service Writer in our Mankato, MN Customer Support Center. Responsible to actively pursue service sales both internally and externally with existing and new customers
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Scheduling & coordination of service work performed in the Timpte Retail Branch service shop.
• Daily communication & coordination of the current & scheduled work with the Parts personnel and Shop Foreman to ensure targeted parts fill-rates and on-time completion.
• Work with customers (by phone and in-person) to process and complete warranty claims, service issues, troubleshooting and technical questions.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
• Ability to work with general supervision and make basic quality decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written, and over the phone with customers and other employees.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, etc.
• Must have working knowledge of how a dry bulk commodity trailer is assembled.
• Must have the ability to write repair orders and estimates and to accurately estimate timelines & schedules for the repair of trailers
